Foundation Support

Health Care for America Now and its 501c3 partner, Health Care for America Education Fund, have had some amazing successes in a short time:
  • Created coalition in 43 states educating the public and policymakers on health care reform
  • More than 150 policymakers signed on to the statement of principles
  • Over 39,000 individuals signed on to website effort
  • 15 national organizations representing communities, labor, education, children, poverty, women, and civil rights signed on as Steering Committee members.
  • Total of over 100 national and 350 regional, state, and local organizations signed on as supporting partners
  • Received over $12.8 million in funding from 15 different foundations and organizations
  • With July launch, sent 5.2 million email announcements, conducted press events in 53 cities in 38 states, made over 96 million media impressions
  • Conducted 340 house parties in 180 cities with over 5,000 people attending
  • Released report "Insuring Health or Ensuring Profits?"
  • Produced and distributed documentary "Diagnosis Now!"
  • Two National Call-in Days generated over 5,000 calls to policymakers
  • National Day of Public "Which Side Are You On?" had 34 events around the country
  • National HCAN Canvass Day saw 4,500 people educating about health care for all
Our work lends itself well to Foundation funding.  We have received funding and interest from foundations dedicated to:
